We offer a variety of swimming and boating programs on Sand Pond. NoBe's pristine, idyllic waterfront is fun for all ability levels.

Merit Badges and Certifications

We offer the following Aquatics merit badges and certifications:

Free Boating, Free Swimming, and Instructional Swim

Sand Pond isn't just for merit badges! We offer the following programs:

  • Free Boating and Free Swimming: 3:00pm-5:00pm
  • BSA Paddle Boarding: 2:00pm-3:00pm
  • Instructional Swim: 11:00am-12:00pm
  • Mile Swim: 12:00pm-1:00pm

Troop Swim and Boating

Troops can reserve blocks of boating or swimming time at the Waterfront on Tuesday and Wednesday nights on a first-come, first-serve basis. Troop leaders must attend the BSA Safe Swim Defense session at the Monday leader's meeting..

Since 1927, No-Be-Bo-Sco has served thousands of Boy Scouts and their troops. Set on 380 acres in New Jersey's Kittatinny Mountains, No-Be-Bo-Sco's idyllic landscape offers troops an opportunity to experience Scouting in a way that has changed very little since the early days of scout camp.
