All STAFF NEED TO HAVE A FULLY COMPLETED BSA MEDICAL TO COME TO CAMP!
Staff Manual (2018 coming soon...)
Coming Soon - Current Trainings - find your name, and see what you need to complete. All dates must be current as of 6/20/18
Venture Crew APPLICATION - ALL STAFF MUST (RE)REGISTER FOR THE CAMP CREW.
Please download and complete the application - under 18 must be signed by a parent! There is no cost, and will not impact your home registration.
Mandatory Training - Finish Before you Arrive In Camp
As in past years, all staff this year will be required to complete 3 online trainings prior to arriving at camp. Each course will produce a certificate of completion, which you will need to turn in when you arrive at camp.
If you have already completed the training previously, please print out a copy of the certificate, and mail it in with your contract.
Remember: the Internet connection at camp is not good enough for you to take these courses there.
Course #1 – Unlawful Harassment Prevention Training. (30 – 40 minutes) - Link
THIS MUST BE TAKEN EACH YEAR
Instructions: Register with Northern New Jersey Council Oakland (333) and select the appropriate age and position. Directors are “Supervising other Camp staff”, general staff are not.
Courses #2 - Youth Protection (1 - 2 Hours)
ALL STAFF MUST TAKE THE NEW YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING
Your completion date must be between 3-13-18 and before 6-20-18.
This takes more time now, and you must click through - plan some time to take it.
You will need to log into the my.scouting.org website to complete the training, so it is properly recorded to your BSA membership ID. Contact your Scoutmaster if you need this number. If you are only registered with the camp crew – please contact Marc.
Course #3 - Weather Hazards Training (25 to 35 minutes)
This is also completed on my.scouting.org. You will need to create an account using your membership ID – this is found on the BSA card from your troop. Contact your Scoutmaster if you need this number. If you are only registered with the camp crew – please contact Marc.
